EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology, today introduced the AUIPS7111S high-side intelligent power switch with ultra low on-state resistance (RDS(on)) for harsh 24V automotive environments such as under-the-hood truck junction boxes.

The AUIPS7111S features an RDS(on) of 7.5 mOhm (max) at 25°C, and offers a comprehensive set of protection features including over-current and over-temperature shutdown in addition to an active clamp circuit to ensure safe reliable switching, and protection under repetitive short circuit conditions.

"With its ultra low RDS(on) and comprehensive set of protection features, the AUIPS7111S provides an efficient and reliable solution for harsh 24V automotive environments," said David Jacquinod, product marketing manager, IR's Automotive Products Business Unit.

The AUIPS7111S provides an accurate current feedback of +/- 5% over the entire operating temperature range while turn-on and off-time are optimized to minimize noise in EMI sensitive automotive applications. The 65V device also offers ESD protection and low current and logic level input.

The new device is qualified according to AEC-Q10x standards, features an environmentally friendly, lead-free and RoHS compliant bill of materials, and is part of IR's automotive quality initiative targeting zero defects.
