Dominik Asam is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and Ingénieur des Arts et Manufactures, having studied at the Technical University of Munich and at the École Centrale in Paris from 1989 to 1994. In 1995 he earned the title of Master of Business Administration from the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France.
From 1996 to 2003 Dominik Asam held various positions in the Investment Banking Division of the Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in Frankfurt/Main, New York and London, including that of Head of European Semiconductor Practice.
From 2003 to 2005 he worked at Infineon Technologies AG, Munich, initially as Head of Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions and Ventures, and then as Head of Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions.
From 2005 to 2010 Dominik Asam worked for the Siemens Group, first as member of the management team at Siemens Financial Services GmbH, then as Corporate Vice President & Treasurer Siemens AG and finally as CEO of the Siemens Financial Services (SFS) Division.
At last he was Head of Group Controlling at RWE AG in Essen.
On January 1, 2011 Dominik Asam was appointed as Chief Financial Officer to the Management Board of Infineon Technologies AG.
