You are practically oriented and your feel ready to solve challenging technical problems in your work environment, without going through the long years of college? Maybe a course of study seems to abstract and far from practice for you? Then the Siemens Technical Academy should be your first choice! “Only so much theory as essential and as much practice as possible” that’s the philosophy. After two years of training to become an Industrial Technologist (m/f) you will start your career in the semiconductor industry.
Wherever your personal strengths lie you will have found out after the one and a half years long basic training. During that time you will be granted an overview of all the facets of the world of semiconductors. Whether it’s physics or semiconductor components or semiconductor technology, if it’s electronic design automation or electrotechnology, whether it’s programming languages or system softwares, if microcomputers or technical I.T.: you will come to grips with all levels of chip design and you will have a first insight into complex CAD-programs. On top of that you will learn exactly the tools you will need in order to work with us later.
No matter where you put the focus on the starting conditions stay the same: advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) with special field of study engineering (Fachrichtung Technik), or general qualification for university entrance (allgemeine Hochschulreife). In addition you will need the willingness to work in varying teams and the ability to show initiative and be open to face new people and situations.
